Today the boys went ice fishing. Mike and our friend Troy Jensen took the boys, Jayce and Coby, to Rockport to try their luck. Mike borrowed a bunch of ice fishing equipment from our friend Kyle Lopez. They bundled up and headed out early in the morning. At some point Jayce and Coby who are both 8 yrs old asked if they could go "ice skate" or play around basically. The dad's said they needed to watch their poles, the little boys thought they would be okay and ran off to "ice skate." Mike and Troy were watching their own poles when they noticed a few minutes later that Jayce's pole was missing. It went right down the hole in the ice. I feel bad for the poor fish that is swimming around with a hook and a pole attached to him. Needless to say except for one bite Coby got on his pole that was all the luck they had. And we owe Kyle a new pole.
