Family pictures 2011

We had A & E Photography take our pictures this year.  I went to High School with Amanda so it was fun to have her take the photos.  I love the fact that she just gives you your photo's on a cd and you can print them, put them online, etc.  Here they are.....

Christmas Card 2011

Merry Christmas!  Here is our Christmas Card this year.  It took me awhile to figure out how to do the B&W with the color aspects on Photoshop but I figured it out.  It was a fun one to make this year.  Love the Colored Candy Canes.  The cute family in there is a bonus too.

Fall 2011

This fall has been entirely too busy. The kids are back in school. Jayce is in 6th grade and on the Student Council. Halle is in 2nd grade. She made the competition team in dance. So she has dance 2.5 hours a week. Anna is in Pre-School and is finally starting to like it. She is also back in dance.

Jayce had to do an art project for the Reflections Program at school. The theme this year was "Diversity" so we went out to see the fall leaves and managed to work his art project in too.  He took this photo (with mom's help)  He is going to get an award for it, and it will be sent on to the next level.  I took a few pretty photos while we were out.

Mike and I are working away. Mike is still at the Elevator company and has had to start traveling occasionally. He's been to Miami, Oakland and Las Vegas so far. With a trip to Portland, OR in the works. Not our favorite thing to have him gone. I am working a few nights a week at Nuttalls Bernina where I teach classes. In addition to all the dresses and costumes I have been making lately. "Sew" much fun! (Sarcasm)

For my Birthday I went to Disneyland for the day with my BFF Jeana. We had an awesome time. So great to get away from the daily grind.

Halloween was tons of fun, but I am very glad it's over. My Mom, sisters and I went to Witches Night Out at Gardener Village a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun. The kids had fun at all their parties, at dance and school. They looked so cute in their costumes. We had our friends the Jensen's over for dinner on Halloween and let the kids Trick or Treat in our neighborhood.

Well, I will try to stay more up to date on our blog, but with how busy we have been I am not gonna hold my breath. :D

Broken Hearts - July 4, 2011

Just overheard this....

"I am not hitting!  Halle you are breaking my heart and I'm going to die because you are breaking my heart!"
Says Anna in a sad but angry voice.

Oh the stuff they say sometimes!!  I am going to try and record more of these because they entertain me so much and I think I should share in the amusement!

Rockport - June 12, 2011

We were itching to go camping. So we, the Bridge's & the Jensen's, finally decided to hit the road.  The problem, there is still tons of snow in the mountains.  Ugh!! So we opted for Rockport Reservoir.  It was warm, the kids could ride their scooters around the campground, inexpensive, and it was just a short walk to the lake where we could fish.  The fishing wasn't so hot, Mike caught four or five, Troy one and me and Jeana zero.  Lame!!  Oh well!  I had fun taking pictures one morning. See....

Mike says this is a Loon.  It is Looney cuz it hit both
Mike and Troy's lines and tricked them.

Jeana saying "Peace Out"  Ha Ha
P.S.  Jayce and Coby were there but they were too busy playing Yu-Gi-Oh cards or with the camping neighbor kids.  I'm just glad they were having fun and outta my hair!!  LOL!

1 2 skip a few.... June 2011

Skipped a few months.  But here we are.  Life is moving along at such a fast pace who can keep up.  Here's a fast update....

The kids finished school.  Jayce got all A's and B's on his report card and Halle all A's (well the equivalent anyway, Halle doesn't get letter grades yet).  I was very proud of how much they learned this year.  One of the neatest things that happened this spring was when they brought home awards for a race/run the kids did in the CRT Olympics.  Halle took first in all the girls in 1st grade and Jayce took 7th in all the boys in 5th grade.  I thought that was pretty awesome!!

Anna is growing like a weed and so moody that I'm not excited for her teenage years.  If it's this bad now, ugh!!  She has her moments though and I am glad she likes to hang out with me and go get soda's at the gas station with me.

Mike started a new job at the first of April.  He is now the Regional Collections Manager over the Western Untied States for ThyssenKrupp Elevator.  Long title, eh?  He really needed a change, his last job was incredibly stressful and it was wearing him down.  He enjoys this new company so far.  He says he would love this job if he made a little more money.

Me?  I am still at home.  Sewing dresses, Reading books, running kids around to all the different activities we have going.  I start working at Nuttall's in July.  I start training at least.  I am going to teach classes on how to use the sewing machines they sell.  Classes are usually included when you buy a machine from their company.  That should be interesting, and keep me on my toes.

That's it for now.  I will post another soon.

Blogs to come...
Baseball, Boston & Hartford Trip, Dance, Camping....and anything else I throw in.

Suzie Sews A lot, New Blog - 03/13/2011

I have been working on a new Blog for my little sewing business.  The address is http://www.suziesewsalot.blogspot.com/.  I would love it if you would follow it, check it out occasionally, whatever.  It is a work in progress, as I learn how to build it up.  I decided to start it so that I can share ideas, new projects I am working on, feedback, the thank you notes I get, and fun stories about some of the dresses that I make.  My latest creation is a Rapunzel dress.  I made it for my best friends daughter Abby.  It turned out really cute! I am working on getting new pictures taken of my new dresses.  I will post them as soon as I get them.

Christmas WRAP Up - 12/25/10

Christmas went by so fast!  It amazes me how much work goes into it each year.  Not to mention the money.  But it all is worth it on Christmas when you see the kids excitement.  Mike surprised me with a new Nikon Camera! I was thrilled.  Now to figure out how to use it.  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I snapped this photo when I was taking down the Christmas Decor.  I thought it looked like an I Spy book.

Christmas Eve we went Bowling with my side of the family.  Then Pizza at our house.  The kids got to open their traditional PJ's and Slippers.  Decorate Santa Cookies, then off to bed.  Super Fun Night!
Christmas Day we spent opening our gifts.  The kids got a lot of fun games, dolls, clothes, etc.  I was really impressed with the Leap Pen that Halle got.  You download the story books onto the pen and then it assists her when she is reading the stories.  Love it.

Then we went to my parents for breakfast.  We played Glee Karaoke, and my brother's Kinnect.  It was so much fun.  We all went over to visit Great Grandma Sorensen.  At one point she said, "There is always something I wanted for Christmas."  Then she disappeared up the stairs.  When she came back down she said, "A Boob Job!" and had pillows shoved up her shirt.  So Funny!  Grandma is cracking up up lately.

Mike's Dad gives us a "comical" gift each year.  This year is was MAXI SLIPPERS.  Ha Ha!

I had a lot of "fun" with Photoshop this year.  I made our Holiday Card myself, and one for Jeana, and Carrie.  Also a Photo Collage for Melanie.  Ha Ha! I was busy.

Winter Dance Recital - 12/15/10

The girls had their Winter Dance Recital at Hunter High School  They did really well.  I am so proud of them and I need to remember each month as I pay the Dance Bill how cute they are and how much they love to dance.  I took some video on my camera but it didn't turn out.  Anna danced to Frosty the Snow Man and Halle did Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Anna's Birthday part 2 - 12/12/10

Here are some pics from Anna's Birthday when we had the Family over for cake and ice cream.  I guess we didn't take very many.  I will have to get some more from my mom, I know she took some because she got a new camera! Lucky!
