Mike tried to get off work but had to work for most of the day which was crappy but what can you do. He brought me home two dozen pink roses, they were beautiful! I gave him a couple of new shirts, a card and a new candle. I know that's weird but Mike likes to burn scented candles all the time.
We took the kids to my parents, thanks to my Mom and Dad for keeping them overnight so we could have a quiet evening out. Then we headed to Thiafoon for dinner. We always enjoy eating there, it's good food and good atmosphere. After dinner we went over to the Movies and saw "Men Who Stare At Goats." We had a few laughs but in the end we thought it was a really weird show. We don't recommend it and it was rated "R" so that would rule it out for most people anyway.
The next morning we went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast and I had a great quiche lorriane and Mike had a really good omelet. We had such a nice time just staying around home, I guess that's what you call a "staycation." We even had a few gift cards so we ended up not spending very much either, another plus.
We are both so thankful that we have each other to share this adventure with. Here's to many, many more years together.
