Lucy - 1/26/10

I kept saying we couldn't get a dog until the spring. Well Mike didn't agree. He's been looking on KSL.com at dogs for weeks and we actually called on one, but she was already adopted. On Saturday while running errands we stopped at the Animal Shelter and ended up adopting an 11 month old little female Chocolate Lab Pointer mix. Mike wanted a Chocolate Lab, and when he saw her and told her to sit and she did it I knew we were in trouble. We weren't able to pick her up for a couple of days because they were going to have her spayed. Her first day home she just slept on her big dog bed that I made her because she was still drugged from her surgery. Now she is up and playing fetch with a tennis ball, exploring the house, sitting on my feet, leaning on us and wanting to be loved. She is such a sweet girl. The kids voted to name her Lucy Rosie Bridge, that was a chore trying to agree on a name, some wanted Lucy some wanted Rosie so we put them together.
